For all of you who missed the Earth Day Festival at Upper Newport Bay on Sunday (we know that was a lot of you; only Dee, her brother, and I showed up), here are some of the highlights of the celebration:
- Canoe Tours
- Kayaking Tours
- Pontoon Boat Tours
- A small trail with a view of the bay and the birds that inhabit it.
- Real live owl and hawk to see.
- Tons of literature on worthy environmental causes.
- Information on organizations that fight for environmental protection.
There was much to do at this interesting event. There were projects and activities, such as face painting, sand art, and Native American crafts. It was geared more to children, but all the adults we saw seemed to be having a great time. Come join us next year!
